A New Way to Think About Publishing
Saltmine is a daughter of passion. We’re small. Just two voracious readers who wanted a more simple, more worthy space for writers to bring their work.
More than submissions that sell, we seek works that inject life into the reader, language so salty, it buoys the soul. Novels, short story collections, essays. Poetry, books of photographs and inspired scribbling. Literal vomit on a page. These raw submissions are often rejected by publishers who are obligated to treat the creation and consumption of books as an act of capitalism. But stories, and the magic of sharing them, predate currency.
Tell us your story.
Storytelling flips the impossible. It is the way we utilize language to escape the very limitations of it. Inside of a story, we are freer to experience the world as it truly is, stripped back, wrapped in a fiction, or seen through a seer’s eyes. Stories are so deeply important. Please, tell us yours.
